BEREAVEMENT MEETING: The bereavement support meeting that was cancelled last week will take place in the Presbytery Tarbert this evening at 8pm.

PRIDE of PLACE: The Judges are coming on July 2, so the Steering Committee are appealing to all parishioners to support them in any way they can to ensure Tarbert is looking extra special on the day. Your efforts in; weeding cleaning flower arranging litter collection etcetera where needed will be much appreciated. The Judges are certain to visit areas of; historical significance, community enhancement structures, sports arenas, parents and toddler, pre-school and advanced education facilities, the community housing area as well as St. Brendan’s and St Mary’s churches will I am sure come under the scrutiny of the judging panel.

TRACTOR LESSONS: Safe Tractor Driving Skills Course for youths aged between 14-16 years will be held in Listowel Mart on Tuesday June 25, 2013 between 10am and 4pm. The Course costs 30 euro or 15 euro if your family is in receipt of social welfare payments or an employment scheme such as CE, RSS, TUS etcetera. TARBERT ICA: We would like to wish the members of Tarbert ICA Drama Group the best of luck this weekend. The Group are taking part in the National Final in An Grianán, Co Louth.

THANKS PRICILLA: Congratulations to Pricilla Donovan and her budding young Hollywood Stars on the success of their play “Night Court” performed recently at the Community Centre and at St John’s, Listowel. We also say a sincere Thank You to Pricilla for her generosity in donating the proceeds of the Tarbert raffle in the amount of E180 to the Community Centre Fund.

SET DANCING: Weekly set dancing Summer school in Clounmacon begins on June 25 at 9pm. All welcome and only nominal charge will apply, Timmy Woulfe.

GAA LOTTO: There was no winner of last week’s lotto draw. The numbers drawn were; 8, 16, 20 and 27. Bar Prize winner Nell Hefernan Lucky Dip winners were; Mary Langan, John Joe Hefernan, Aine Carey, Des Lyndon and Eamon Stack. Next week’s draw will take place in Carmody’s Bar with a jackpot of €2,800. Thanks to all those who continue to support the Lotto.

MATCH RESULT: Juniors had a good win over Clounmacon last Friday evening in Shannon Park on a scoreline of Tarbert 3-13 to Clounmacon’s 2-5. Tarbert team; Charles McGibney, Pat Healy, Donnacha Enright (0-01, 45f), Daniel O’Connor, Evan Allen, Mark Buckley, Micheal Sheahan, Ian Flavin (0-3), Donal Leahy (1-0), Sean Carrig (0-2), Niall Foley (0-4 ,3f), Shane Heffernan (0-1), Conor Flavin (2-0), Eoin Diggins (0-1) and Ciarain Lanigan (0-1). Subs that played were; John Healy and Sean Flavin. These two teams meet again next Friday in Shannon Park in the semi-final of the County Junior League

U-10 Tarbert hosted another super Saturday event with teams from Listowel, Moyvane and Finuge taking part. Well done to all the teams and to those who helped on the day.

U-12 Tarbert play Ballly/Asdee in Shannon Park next Monday at 7:00 in the North Kerry League

U-13 Tarbert/Moyvane, play in Shannon Park this Sunday evening where they take on Keel/Listry at 7pm in the County League

U-16 Tarbert/Moyvane, take on the Scartaglen/Cordal combination this Wednesday evening in Shannon Park at 7:30pm in the County League

MINORS: Tarbert/Moyvane, take on Listowel in Listowel this Thursday evening at 7pm in the North Kerry League.
