ADARE COMMUNITY COUNCIL COMMUNITY RESOURCE OFFICE: Adare Community Council are currently in the process of setting up a Community Resource Office to be located in the Village Hall. It will be of benefit to the entire community and will be a centre for community information and upcoming events. It will be staffed by an administrator and voluntary personnel from the parish who have some free time to spare. A database of local services, clubs and organisations will be established as one of the first roles of the office. ITALIAN COOKERY CAMP AT ADARE HERITAGE CENTRE: An Italian Cookery Camp, designed especially for Bambini with Favourite Italian Recipes will take place over half term at the Adare Heritage Centre. WASTE CLOTHES COLLECTION IN ADARE: A fundraiser for Adare & Ballingrane Methodist Churches. We would welcome unwanted clothes – towels, curtains, handbags, shoes, mobiles. Collection point is Adare Methodist Church on Friday, February 1 from 3pm to 4pm or 6pm to 7pm and on Saturday, February 2 from 9am to 11am.
UPSKILLING IN BROADCASTING TRAINING: Those interested in becoming a volunteer broadcaster at West Limerick 102 Community Radio are now invited to take part in a dedicated 12 week training programme to develop the skills to produce and present high quality programming for the community station. Topics will include Role of Community Radio, Radio Presenting, Researching for Radio, The Role of the Producer, Technical Skills and News & Current Affairs. Course Free of Charge. ADARE PARENT AND TODDLER GROUP: Adare Mother and Toddler Group is held in the upstairs room in the Heritage Centre. They meet at 10.15 until 12.15. They would like to issue a special invitation to all parents of children from 0-5 to come and join us on Friday mornings especially Dads, childminders and grandparents minding children in the afore mentioned age group. Adare Methodist church: is holding a collection of unwanted clothes, shoes (in pairs), handbags and belts, curtains, towels and mobile phones for recycling this coming weekend. People are asked to drop off their unwanted items at Adare Methodist Church on Friday February 1 between 3pm and 4pm or 6pm and 8pm or on Saturday February 2 between 9am and 11am. All proceeds will go towards staging the Adare Methodist Church Flower Festival which will be held on Friday 10th – Sunday May 12.
