GAA AGM: The AGM of Oola GAA Club was held recently in the Community Centre in Oola.A full review of last years events were outlined by the following officers,Chairman Peter Gardiner, Secretary Pius O`Grady, Treasurer John Heuston.Chairman and Bord Na Nog chairman John O`Grady. Peter Gardiner thanked all players and management teams for their efforts throughout the year.He thanked the finance committee for a job well done in organising fundraising events,the ICA for the great help they gave in preparing for the Alzheimer`s fundraising sports day.He thanked everyone who gave materials for the scrap metal collection apnd those who gave of their time for the cleaning and upkeep of the clubhouse and keeping the field in good order throughout the year.He thanked all those parents who helped with transport of players.
Secretary Pius O`Grady also thanked all managers,trainers and selectors for their effotrs through out the year.He commended Billy Godfrey, Chris Ryan and Michael Mulcahy for their hard work with the Intermediate team.He thanked Shane Landers and Jody Shanahan who took charge of the Junior B team.At under 21 he thanked Derek Ryan,Denis Moloney and John O`Grady.At minor level he thanked Sean Holmes,John Heuston and John Bourke. He said that Bord Na Nog is thriving and thanked all those involved in coaching and supporting our ladies and underage teams The nursery programme run by John Stokes and Richard Bowles is going from strength to strength.He thanked all those involved in selling tickets for the Lotto and to Ann-Marie O`Brien who is the Limerick development draw co-ordinator.
Treasurer,John Heuston gave an up to date review of income and expenditure for the past year and the need to continue to fund raise for 2013.
John O`Grady,secretary of Bord Na Nog gave a full account of all under age teams and thanked all those involved.
Ladies report was given by Kathleen Ryan who thanked players and management teams for a job well done.
