LOTTO: The Kilcornan Lotto results for Saturday November 30. There was no winner of the jackpot. Lucky dip winners: Michael O’Donoghue, Tom Griffin, Eileen Byrnes and Paul McElligott..

Next week’s jackpot will be €4,950.

CHURCH NEWS: Minister of the Word is Kathleen Hayes for Saturday December 7 and Michael Keane for Sunday December 8. The Eucharistic Ministers are Sheila O’Hara and Kathleen Hayes for Saturday, Michael Keane and Eilís Griffin for Sunday.

TROCAIRE: The collection taken up at Mass recently in aid of Trocaire amounted to €1,200. Thank you.

IRISH CANCER SOCIETY: The Annual Collection for the Irish Cancer Society which took place at Kilcornan Masses in early November, amounted to €555.17, thanks to all who contributed so generously.

SANTA: Santa will visit Kilcornan Community Centre on Sunday December 15 at approximately 2.30pm.

Kilcornan AFC will host their Annual Christmas Party and Family fun day from 2pm to 5pm.

This is sure to be a great afternoon of fun and entertainment for all the family with a Christmas Disco, face painting and games for the kids, mulled wine and mince pies for the adults.

A visit with Santa and a present is €10, with a family photo for €5, adults are free. Pre booking is advisable contact Rachel on 087 9331325 or checkout Kilcornan AFC on Facebook.

CAPPAGH/KILCORNAN GAA CLUB: Following on from a successful year with great progress being made: Your attendance is required at our annual general meeting on Monday the 9th December in Cappagh community centre 7.30pm. Exciting times are around the corner please don’t let yourself live in the past; move forward with the club.

Agenda of AGM will include: Election of Officers for 2014, Details of clubs 5 year plan, Erection of signs (cappagh and kilcornan), Details of club expansion and introduction of Hurling for 2014 and AOB. Your attendance will be appreciated. There has been a lot of work going on behind the scenes in Cappagh and Kilcornan with the sole purpose of providing all underage and adult players the platform in which they can play Football and Hurling from U6 all the way to Adult Level. We’re delighted to announce that we’ve received nominations for a majority of positions already. Nomination forms are available just contact Breda Stokes or William Coffey. This meeting will go down as the most important meeting Cappagh/Kilcornan GAA club will have so please make an effort and remember if you’re living in Cappagh or Kilcornan parish your club is Cappagh/Kilcornan. Please support your own parish and help build a community.

MILFORD HOSPICE: ­ Light up a Memory: The annual Milford Hospice Light Up a Memory ceremony takes place on Sunday December 15 at 6pm followed by light refreshments. Each person remembered will be enrolled in the Light Up a Memory book, to be displayed in the Hospice during the coming year. Lights will be switched off on Sunday January 5 at 6pm when Mass will be celebrated at Milford Care Centre for all those remembered in Light Up A Memory.

There is also a sale of work taking place at the PALLS Project, Unit 2, Docklands Business Park, Dock Road, Limerick on Sunday December 15 from 2pm to 5pm at which a unique series of hand crafted bowls made from the wood of the old Light Up A Memory Tree will be on sale. The old tree which had to be removed in 2011 was donated to the Palls Project and has been used to create these items. All monies raised through these sales will be donated to Milford Care Centre.
