Masses this Week: Masses this week will be said in Loughill Church Tuesday, Thursday and Saturdays at 6pm. Mass will be said this week in Ballyhahill Church on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings at 9am and at 10am on Sunday morning
Afternoon Tea Dance: The Ray of Sunshine Foundation will travel to Mombasa Kenya in January to help build a school for deprived children. As part of their fundraising for this trip an afternoon tea dance will be held at the GAA clubhouse in Abbeyfeale this Sunday December 8th. Dancing from 3.00 to 6.00 p.m. to Donie Walsh. Your support will be greatly appreciated.
Car Boot Sale: The last car boot sale for WL102fm for 2013 will take place at the Community Centre in Newcastle West this Sunday December 8. Santa will be in attendance so give us a call and help keep community radio on the air in West Limerick.
Christmas Party: Ita McQuinn will hold her Christmas party, ceili, and social dance this Friday night December 6th. at the Community Centre Monagae. Dancing to Michael Sexton Ceili Band. Everyone welcome.
Monster 41 Card Drive: There is a huge card drive in aid of St. Gabriel’s Centre for children with disabilities at the Devon Inn on Wednesday night next December 11th. at 9.00 p.m. There is over €1,000 in spot prizes up for grabs on the night. Your support will be gratefully appreciated.
Dromcollogher Organic College Hosts Christmas Fair: Dromcollogher Organic College will host a Christmas Fair Sunday December 15. The Organic College in Dromcollogher will showcase the college students and their various enterprises. You can purchase handmade gifts of soaps, jams, honey, creams and much more, visit the gardens and tunnels, eat organic produce and generally spend a wonderful afternoon in the company of people passionate about protecting the environment and saving the planet.
Congratulations: Congratulations and well done to Stephen Sheehan Ballyhahill who came 1st in Ireland in the National Final of the Eirgrid Young Engineering Competition for his higher level Leaving Certificate Engineering Project.
Loughill School Fundraising Table Quiz: Loughill school fundraising table quiz which was held recently at The Angler’s Rest in Loughill was a huge success.
The organising committee would like to thank everyone who participated on the day, those who gave spot prizes, tables, stools, parents for making sandwiches and people who donated and were unable to attend etc. Thanks to the quizmaster Pat Noonan and to Tom and Eileen O’Shaughnessy of The Angler’s Rest for the use of their premises.
Family and Evangelisation: There is a separate handout on Family and Evangelisation at the back of the Church for all who are interested.
Film Club: Newcastle West Film Club will be presenting the film “Come as You Are”. This is a laugh out loud comedy where three young men with various disabilities go on a road trip like together. It’s on Friday December 6 and starts at 8pm in the Desmond Complex at the rear of the fire station. The cost is only €7 per screening. Refreshments available before and after the film.
