BRUFF HERITAGE GROUP – CHRISTMAS MARKET: Please note a change of date is being announced for the Christmas Market it will now be held on Saturday December 14 and not the 7th as was stated last week. We will be holding the Christmas Market again in the Old Courthouse building. We will be hoping for the same success as we had in past years. ‘PUNK GUERRILLAS’ PERFORMING IN THE HONEY FITZ: ‘Punk Guerrillas’ (performance by County Limerick Youth Theatre) will perform in the Honeyfitz Theatre in Lough Gur for three nights only Friday - Sunday December 6th - 8th. For further information see www.loughgur.com. All are welcome.
PRESENTATION TO FR. JOE FOLEY: A presentation to Fr. Joe Foley on his transfer from Bruff will take place on Saturday 7th December at 8.30pm in Scoil Dean Cussen, Bruff. All are welcome to join us for the occasion.
TURNING ON THE CHRISTMAS LIGHTS IN BRUFF: On December 7 after Mass we will light up our town for Christmas. Lights will be switched on by Sara Finn (Bruff Rose). Santa and his sleigh will be parading up and down through the town, with treats for all the children. Please come and join us and help us get the Christmas Holiday started.
PRAYER/ REFLECTION MEETINGS: There will be Prayer/Reflection meetings in the Community Cafe for every Thursday during Advent starting at 7 pm. Everyone is invited to attend. Just come along on the night for part or all of the meeting and if you miss one, come for the next one.
FUNDRAISING COFFEE MORNING FOR LOCAL CHARITIES: A Coffee Morning will be held in the Community Cafe, Bruff on Friday December 13 from 10.30a.m. to 1.30pm in aid of St. Vincent de Paul and Bruff Social Services. Please support this worthy event.

THANK YOU: The organisers of the recent fundraising dance in aid of Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital Crumlin would again like to thank all who helped in making it a great success. The net profit on the night came to € 4375. and a cheque will shortly be on its way to the hospital. This figure means that with your wonderful help we have donated in excess of € 40,000 towards the new cardiac unit which was very recently opened, so once again from the bottom of hearts Thank You.
LOUGH GUR 2014 CALENDER: Lough Gur 2014 calendar now on sale at Ryan’s Holycross and Nagles Bruff. This collection of 12 photos were all sent to the Lough Gur facebook page over the last year and features some beautiful photos of the area. It’s an ideal Christmas gift for those living away from home. Cost is €10 and all proceeds go to the recent refurbishment project at the Heritage Centre. All support greatly appreciated.
BORD NA NOG NOTES: The AGM of Bruff GAA Club will take place in the Complex on Monday next, Dec.9th. at 8pm.It will be preceded at 7.30 pm by Mass for the many players and supporters of the Club who have gone to their eternal reward over the past 126 years. The Club is appealing to all to attend the meeting and a few hours a week voluntary work would be greatly appreciated. We will be holding a Church Gate Collection on the 7th and 8th December. BRUFF/ GRANGE/ MEANUS PARISH LOTTERY: At the Parish Lottery on Monday December 2the numbers drawn were 18, 28 and 29 and there was no jackpot winner. THANK YOU: It was such a successful night at the Shave, Wax or Dye event in Clarke’s last Sunday evening. €4,000 was raised on the night for Bruff and Croom National Schools. We would like to thank a number of people for all their help and support in running the event.
