Mass of Thanksgiving: Mass on Saturday, October 12th at 7.00p.m. will be a Mass of Thanksgiving for Fr. Michael O’Shea and his Ministry in Monaleen. We hope to make a presentation to Fr. Michael and if you would like to be part of it, please leave your contribution in the Sacristy. Refreshments in the Kilmurry Lodge. All are welcome – Monaleen Pastoral Council.
Volunteers needed: Please consider being a Minister of the Eucharist. Your Church needs you. There is a rota of Ministers of the Eucharist in operation - the commitment is generally once a month and the rota is generally made to suit the Ministers as far as possible. If anyone is interested in becoming a Eucharistic Minister, please contact Msg. Neenan.
Monaleen Parish Choir: The Parish Choir resumed rehearsals on Wednesday 18th. We have 31 members on the books at present: 12 sopranos, 9 altos, 4 tenors and 6 bass. However, new members are always very welcome, so lift up the phone and dial 332507(Tom Clinton), 337147(Marie Breen) or 333838(Josephine Browne). Singing in a choir is very therapeutic so come along and join the happy people! Rehearsals are held in the church on Wednesdays from 20.00 to 21.30 and we sing the Mass on the 1st. and 3rd. Sunday of every month.

Copies of the Book can be purchased in Chawkes Shop, Dublin Road; The Bookshop, Castletroy Shopping Centre and O’Mahony’s Bookshop, Limerick. All author royalties are going to the Mid-Western Cancer Foundation, University Hospital, Limerick.
2013 Junior Infant Class Intake: Gaelscoil Chaladh an Treoigh has an intake of two Junior Infant classes in September 2013 and is currently accepting enrolments for that year. Places still available. Monaleen/Milford Active Retirement Assoc: Are meeting after their summer break at 11.00am in Monaleen GAA Clubhouse every Monday. All are most welcome.
Castletroy CCE: Want to learn an Instrument? Want to Dance ceilí, set or steps? Would you like to learn traditional Irish singing or practice your Gaeilge? Classes on Thursday evenings between 4-7pm include: Concertina, Box, fiddle, Banjo, flute, whistle, Bodhrán, guitar Singing, Group ensemble, Dancing, Gaeilge. Cumann na bhFiann: “Cumann na bhFiann” (the largest nationwide youth service through Irish ) started up last week in the Milford Community Gym. This is a youth group ran by leaders from Colaiste na bhFiann on a weekly basis. Here, teenagers have the opportunity to attend the weekly group, speak Irish outside the classroom and enjoy themselves at the same time. It is a fully supervised event run by leaders from Colaiste na bhFiann. It is for age 12 – 18 year olds and takes place in Milford Hall every Thursday from 7.30pm – 9.00pm.

Some of the classes on offer are: Irish Dancing, Set Dancing, Pilates, Osteofit, Irish music etc. See the page for more details.
