HOSPICE FUNDRAISER: The local Ladies Club is holding a Coffee evening and morning on this weekend September 28 and 29 refreshments in the Community Centre after masses, all proceeds to Milford Hospice.
WEDDING: The marriage took place in Ardpatrick Church on Saturday last of Cora Lee, daughter of Peggy and the late Willie of Monine, Ardpatrick, and Evan Mangan, of Blackwater, Co. Wexford, the chief celebrant was Rev, Fr. Michael Hanley P.P. Kilfinane assisted by Rev, Fr. Joe Kennedy, P.P. Croom. Bridesmaids, Carmel O’ Mahony and Josephine Mc McCarthy, Groomsmen, Padraig Mangan and Owen Murphy, the reception was held at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Little Island, Cork. Best wishes to the couple.
TOURS: Castle Oliver had big crowds again on last Saturday and Sunday for the house tours, the Castle will be open again on Saturday and Sunday September 28th and 29th, tours at 12 noon, 2pm, and 4pm, gates open at 11.30 each day, this is the final weekend of the tours for this year, it is planned to open the Castle to the public in 2014.
WALKS: Ballyhoura Bears have an evening walk from Glenosheen this Thursday at 7.70, contact 086-382 4711. Saturday walks continue from Ardpatrick Community Centre at 11am contact 087-416 6769. This Sunday is World Heart Day the “A” walk starts from Glenroe at 10am, contact 087- 656 9224, there is also a “B” walk from Hospital at 11am, contact 087-988 0306.
