THANK YOU: The Normile family of Marian place would like to express their sincere gratitude to the players and management of Glin Rovers soccer club for the Saint Stephens day charity match in aid of Pieta house and Console Limerick. A total of E1480 was raised and divided equally between both charities. A sincere thank you to everybody who took part and donated to these very worthy causes. THE WITNESS: A musical by Carol and Jimmy Owens. The Witness is the story of Jesus, told and sung by Peter and the other men and women who knew the Master best. Featuring a great cast and coordinated by Fr. Terry Loughran. “The Witness” a musical, will be presented by the Diocese of Limerick, in the Lime Tree Theatre, Mary Immaculate College, on Friday 8 and Saturday 9 March at 8pm. This production which is being staged just before Easter is an ideal opportunity for parishes, youth groups, as well as individuals to participate in a meaningful and relevant way in the Year of Faith and to enter into the spirit of the season of preparation for the events of Holy Week. Under the recently published Government policy document “Putting People First” it is now being proposed to align the local government and local development sectors, putting the future existence of West Limerick Resources into question. While mainly focusing on reforming Local Government, this report has huge implications for the Community Development Sector in general and West Limerick Resources.
