JUNIOR VICTORY: Congratulations to our victorious junior team who won the North Kerry Junior Championship final defeating Beale on a scoreline of 0-12 to 0-6. The game was held in Ballylongford and it was Tarbert who got off to a good start leading 0-5 to 0-1 after 20 minutes with points from Niall Foley 2 and Stephan O Connor 3. Beale then came back into the game reducing the deficit to two before an excellent long range point from David Langan and another from the boot of Stephen O’Connor left the score at half time 0-7 to 0-3. Tarbert increased the margin to eight with a good point from Mark Buckley before Beale came back into the game with two more points. The game ebbed and flowed and with two black cards being issued players were becoming nervous to tackle. Tarbert’s defense was strong led by the veteran Donnacha Enright and with another four points from man of the match Stephen O’Connor Tarbert ran out convincing winners. Team captain Mark Buckley received the cup on behalf of the team much to the delight of the Tarbert supporters.
