TABLE QUIZ: Important Notice!! The annual GAA underage fund-raising table quiz scheduled for Yellowtown on 15th November has been postponed for one week due to a clash with the Scór competition. New date is now 22nd November – same time, same venue.
THE BLACKWALK PLAYERS: present “Love In The Title”, a play set in Corcamore written by Hugh Leonard on Saturday and Sunday November 16 and 17 in Mungret/St. Paul’s GAA club at 8.30pm. Tickets €10.
MANISTER DRAMA GROUP: are currently busy at rehearsals for their next round of comedy drama to cheer up those dark winter nights for anyone who would like a laugh (well that’s everyone then!). They are staging over two weekends “Awake in the West” by M.J. Ginnelly in Manister Hall on Saturday and Sunday November 23/24 and Saturday and Sunday November 30/ December 1 at 8pm. All involved in Manister drama are thrilled to have Nigel Mercier as director once more. Nigel is a highly acclaimed actor in his own right as well as director so all members both old and new have the benefit of Nigel’s experience and expertise not to mention talent. This year’s performance has a great mixture of experience and newcomers. This is a fast paced comedy and has a great night’s entertainment in store for the audience. Set in a country house in the west coast of Ireland, the play centres on the chaos that follows the recent departure of the late Tom Healy whose dying wish was to be buried at sea. Full cast is: Reg Turner, Stephen Murphy, Mary Stenson, James Griffin, Stephen Cregan, Marcella Byrnes, Joanne O’Donnell, John Cregan and Lena Neville. See you there for all the laughs!
