SCOR NA NOG: Well done to all those who took part in the North Kerry Finals of Scor Na nOg held in the Marian Hall, Moyvane recently. The Novelty group were first in their section while the Instrumental Music couple also performed well. Participants included Aine Enright, Conor Heaphy, Jack Healy, Finbarr Carrig, Cillian Langan, James Enright, Chloe O’Carroll, Muirne Wall and Katelyn O’Mahony. The Novelty group now go through to the semi-finals being held in Knocknagoshel at the end of November. Thanks to Helen Enright for co-ordinating.
HISTORICAL SOCIETY: A Meeting of Tarbert Historical Society, will take place next Saturday night at 8:30 pm in The Bridewell. A DVD of the Monakyle Remembrance Mass will be on display. Everybody welcome.
SUSTAINABLE LIVING: Tarbert ICA and TDA will host a talk on sustainable living and saving money on Monday, November 18 from 7.30 pm to 9.30 pm in the Community Centre. The speaker on the night will be Micheál O’Coileán, environmental officer with Kerry County Council.
FUNDRAISER: Tarbert ICA are holding a fund raising table quiz in the Swanky Bar on Friday, November 15 at 10 pm. €20 for table of four. All welcome.
Congratulations: to Mairéad Fitzmaurice of Kerry School of Music who received a High Achiever Award at the Munster Region Awards Ceremony held in Limerick on Sunday, November 3.
MATCH REPORT: Tarbert seniors lost the Intermediate/Junior Shield semi-final against Gneeveguilla recently in Knocknagoshel on a scoreline of 2-8 to 0-7.
