Monaleen Bridge Club: Advance notice for members of Monaleen Bridge Club: The Bridge Club will reopen on Thursday 12th September at 7.45pm. For September the Club is open and all Bridge players are welcome.

Plassey Bridge Club: Members please note the Bridge Club will reopen on Monday 9th September.

Exercises for Active Older Adults:Osteofit – Exercise for strong bones and good balance. Osteofit classes restarted on Wednesday 4th September in Monaleen GAA Hall at 2.00pm. The class is aimed at healthy independent active older adults. It involves a warm up, followed by exercises to help prevent falls and improve balance, strength, posture and bone density as well as some flexibility and relaxation. There is no commitment from you. You can come along whenever you can. Find out more on You are invited to a complimentary first class and then the cost is €8 per session. Regulars and newcomers always welcome.

Set dancing: Set dancing classes are back in GAA club on Thursday nights starting 12th September. Beginners from 7.00pm – 8.00pm. Advanced from 8.00pm – 9.15pm. All welcome. Contact Pat O’Dea 087 2577761 for information

Gaelscoil Chaladh an Treoigh: Two classes of Junior Infants commenced their primary school education in Gaelscoil Chaladh an Treoigh on Friday last. New entrants and returning pupils were warmly welcomed and we wish them well for the forthcoming school year. Go n-éirí go geal leo. Enrolment forms for Gaelscoil Chaladh an Treoigh are available from the school website or from the school office.

Monaleen GAA: Beginners Hurling & Football – All new players are welcome to come along and try out hurling and football in September. The new groups which cater for senior infant pupils onwards will start Friday 6th Sept. 6.30pm for hurling and Monday Sept. 9th 6.30pm for Football. Training takes place in the Monaleen GAA clubhouse pitch. Note that helmets are mandatory for hurling and the club sells helmets and hurls at discounted price. Gum shields are mandatory for Gaelic football. Email with any queries. We would also encourage any parents interested in helping out to come along on the night or contact the club PRO to get details.

Annual Milford Hospice Coffee Morning: The annual Milford hospice coffee morning and raffle is being held on the 19th of September from 10.00am at Monaleen G.A.A clubhouse. Please come along and support this worthy cause.
