PRESENTATION: In the Arch Bar last Friday the Herbertstown Friends of Milford Hospice presented Geraldine O’ Sullivan with a cheque for €6,000, 70 the proceeds of a recent fund raising event. Geraldine on behalf of the Hospice thanked all who made this event successful.

LADIES FOOTBALL: St. Bridgid’s scored a thrilling win over Murroe / Boher in the under 12 league 1-3 to 1-2. At under 14 they defeated Monaleen 5-5 to 3-8 to open the season in fine style .

WATER SCHEME: As Caherline / Newtown water scheme has members in Herbertstown parish they might like to know that a re-opening of the scheme for new connections has started. Contact Simon at 083 4299901 for details.

TABLE QUIZ: Herbertstown H.D.A. will hold a table quiz in the village hall on April 26 at 8.30 pm. Sporting equipment is needed for the community field and a team of four is €7.50 each.

CAMOGIE: Hospital school won the county colleges camogie crown recently. The winning panel – Eimear Daly, Caoimhe Donovan, Aine Donovan, Rachel Madden, Orlaith O’ Donoghue, Audrey Dempsey, Anie Kenip, Grainne Ryan, Aoife Browne, Meadhbh O’ Neill, Iona Dollery,Erin Carroll, Anna Bonner.
