CRECORA-MANISTER GAA: is collecting good quality second hand clothing for re-use. Please fill as many black bin bags as you can. Collection point is Crecora GAA pitch (dressing rooms) every Saturday at 11am for the next six weeks. We accept Men’s, Women’s and Children’s clean clothing, Bed Linen, Paired Shoes, Handbags and Belts.
WORK ACCESS: with offices in Limerick, Kilmallock and Newcastlewest have asked us to inform you of services offered by their organisation. They offer assistance in Interview Skills, CV Preparation, Work Experience, Career Direction, etc. Anyone with a disability, mental health issue or learning difficulty can avail of their service. People wishing to use the service do not need to be on a disability payment. Support is also available to those already in employment. WEST LIMERICK RESOURCES: is an independent not-for-profit company, operating in West Limerick for over 20 years. The organisation is run by a voluntary board comprising of a collective of representatives of community groups, interest groups, agencies & elected representatives who seek to work together for the betterment of the entire West Limerick area. Under the recently published government document ‘Putting the People First’ the future of West Limerick Resources is now under threat. If the proposals in the document are implemented, the organization may not be in a position to apply for funding from the EU Leader Programme or the Local & Community Development Programme. In order to fully inform you of the possible impact of these changes and to provide a forum for discussion, West Limerick Resources has organised public information meetings in Rathkeale Community Centre 7.30pm on Monday February 11th and in Desmond Complex, Newcastle West 8pm on Wednesday February 13th.
PARISH THANK YOU GATHERING: In this the ‘Year of Faith’ and ‘Year of the Gathering’ the Parish Mission Team has decided to gather all those who actively give of themselves and their time to church activities in our Parish. The parish will host a “Parish Thank You Gathering” in the Woodlands House Hotel on Thursday the 14th March at 7.30 pm. All those who help with church activities will be invited to attend over the coming weeks.
