As a result of the public meeting last Friday night in the community Centre, a 5k Walk will take place in Pallasgreen on Saturday 23rd February at 2pm. The start will be at the Community Centre and will make its way to Nicker to Old Pallas and finish back at the Community Centre where refreshments will be served. The walk is being organised by the Pallasgreen-Templebraden Development Association in aid of the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association. We appeal to everyone and all sectors of the community for your support and to come along and be part of this most worthy cause. Sponsorship cards are also available and these can be obtained from the Development Association and the usual outlets around the parish. All support would be greatly appreciated.


Sympathies are tendered to Mary O’Connor of Moymore on the recent passing of her Brother John Rohan of London and late of Ogonnelloe Co Clare. Requiem Mass for the late John was from Ogonnelloe Church and internment was later in Templekelly, Cemetery, Ballina. Sympathies also to his sisters Nora and Bridget, uncle Denis, nephews, nieces, cousins, brothers in law, relatives and friends


There will be an Irish night-rambling house in the Honey Fitz, Lough Gur on this Thursday night Feb. 7th. at 8:15 p.m. sharp
As usual this is open house with no charge just a great night of old style traditional entertainment and teas will be served so come along and bring a friend.


Confessions in the parish; Confessions in Nicker Church every Saturday night from 5.45pm to 6.20pm. Confessions in Templebraden Church every First Friday from 7pm to 7.30pm

If there are any older people who are no longer able to attend weekend Mass and would like Holy Communion on the First Friday of each month please contact Fr Burns at 384114 or 087-2036763.


This begins the First Friday in May and will run for 5 months. Once the draw cards are printed we will call a meeting for all who help distribute them. We again ask ach household , through family working away, friends or colleagues at work to fill at least one card. Tickets are €10 each per month, €50 for the 5 months and prize money again is €21,000. We ask other organisations to give us a free run until the draw is up and running in May as this will be the only fundraiser for the year. Some of the profit from the draw will be used to carry out a full investigation of the work to be done in Templebraden Church


The Historical Society will hold a meeting this Friday evening February 8th at 8.30pm in the Old Credit Room Pallasgreen Community Centre. Any outstanding ads, money or magazines can be brought to the meeting. All are welcome


Enjoy a night out with a difference at... The Teach Cloverfield... on Friday February 8th commencing at 8.45p.m.

The entertainment will consist mainly of singing and maybe a story or two. We are inviting singers, people interested in singing and storytellers to come along. This should be an interesting experience and if you know someone willing to participate, please invite them. This is a new experience for us and we are hoping to get good support for the occasion. Admission is free and tea and home made bread will be served. Bain taitneamh Beidh fáilte roimh cách, idir óg agus aosta. This night replaces our Rambling House for February.


Pallasgreen/Templebraden Community Alert have now installed forty personal Alarm Systems for those who are eligible in our community. We have another forty homes which have applied and we hope to have completed all these installations by Easter at the latest. We are proceeding road by road to ensure that we miss out nobody. Thank you for your patience and for the warm welcome we have received everywhere. The installations are generally done on Saturdays and we will try to contract you in advance. The cost to the householder is €66 annually which may be paid on the day or by post afterwards. All people in our community should keep a special eye on neighbours who are older or living alone

This will be held on Friday 15th February. Mass will be celebrated in Caherconlish Church at 8pm. Followed by a function at the Millennium Centre. Tickets are available from members of the Pioneer Association. Gold and Silver Pioneer pins will be presented to jubilarians at the Mass. Bingo continues every Wednesday night at 11.30pm in the Community Centre. Some great prizes on the night and your support would be greatly appreciated.

Pallasgreen GAA Club Victory and 125 Celebration Dance.

On Friday 8th March, Pallasgreen GAA club will be hosting a dinner dance in the Woodlands Hotel in Adare. After dinner music and entertainment will be provided by Froggie and Michelle. Tickets for the event will cost €30 and are available from David McGuinness on 087 2677674. Early purchasers will be entered into a draw for B&B in the Woodlands Hotel on the night of the dance. There are also a limited number of rooms available in the hotel for €29.50 per person. Contact the Woodlands Hotel on 061605100 to book rooms.

Club Training.

Training will commence for all players on Saturday week, the 16th February, at 4:00p.m. in the All-Weather pitches, North Campus, University of Limerick. If you cannot attend, please contact one of your team selectors or David McGuinness.

Club Membership.

Club Membership is now due, €20 for Adults €10 for Minors (age 17/18).

Limerick Development draw.
