Ballroom Dancing: Ballroom dancing has finished for the season in the hall in Ballyhahill. We had a great season full house every Monday night. We want to thank everyone for their support and we hope to see you all back again next season.

Sympathy: Sincere sympathy to Sarah Noonan and family, South Cappa, Foynes on the death of her brother Paddy Bond, London and formerly of Dunmoylan, Shanagolden. Sincere sympathy to sister Maura Shanagolden, sister Eileen and brother Willie in Dunmoylan, Tom in Newport in Co. Tipperary and all other members of the Bond family in England and the USA.

Set Dancing for Adults: Set dancing for adults will commence in the hall in Ballyhahill Monday night next 8th October from 8.30 to 10.30. Everybody welcome.

Set Dancing for children: Set dancing for children continues in the hall in Ballyhahill every Tuesday night from 6.30 to 7.30

Comhaltas: The Ballyhahill branch of Comhaltas will hold their AGM in the hall in Ballyhahill Thursday night next 10th. October at 8.30 p.m. New members are welcome.

Music Classes: Music classes continue in the hall in Ballyhahill every Wednesday night.

Going Strong: Our next get together of our “Going Strong Group” will take place Tuesday next 8th. October at 2.00 pm in The Resource Centre in Loughill. Eadaoin Russell will attend to give a talk on Active Retirement. We would like if all our members were present. As always new members are most welcome.

Ballyhahill/Loughill Guild of the ICA: The Ballyhahill/Loughill guild of the ICA will hold their next meeting Tuesday night next 8th October in the hall in Ballyhahill at 8.00 pm Hope to see you all there.

Collection of Clothes: There will be a clothes collection for Dochas Nasamu Orphanage, Nairobi, Kenya on Wednesday 2nd October until 12 noon inside the gates of Ballyhahill and Loughill Churches. Used clothing, ladies and children’s clothes, sheets, towels, blankets, soft toys, handbags. As long as the items are clean even in need of recycling. Aqua Aerobics: The Going Strong Aqua Aerobics will be starting in the swimming pool in Askeaton Monday 14th. October at 2.30 pm. Further enquiries from Maureen at 086/3051892

Afternoon Tea Dance: Afternoon tea dancing will resume at Fr. Casey’s Clubhouse in Abbeyfeale on Sunday October 13th. from 3.00 – 6.00 p.m. with music by the Seamus Sheehy Band. Admission €5. Teas served. All welcome. This is a fundraiser for the AAA.

Monagea Afternoon Tea Dance: Afternoon dancing to Declan Aungier on Sunday next at the Monagae community centre from 3 – 6.00 pm. Teas served.

Knitting/Crochet/Embroidery Classes: Knitting, crochet and embroidery classes are starting in the Adult Education Centre in Abbeyfeale which is in the old technical school on Tuesday night October 13th at 7.30 pm. These classes which are free are given by experienced tutors in a friendly atmosphere with a cup of tea and coffee. Anybody who has mastered these crafts might like to become a volunteer tutor. Irish Rambling House: The Irish Rambling House show is back in St John’s Theatre Listowel again this Saturday night October 5th. before it sets out on its grand tour of England. The show starts at 8.00 pm and as usual the hallmark of the night will be the humour of the stories intermingled with some great Irish traditional music, song and dance - all for €5.

There is also a show in the Foilmore Community Centre near Caherciveen on Friday October 11.

People might like to let their friends and relations in England know that the Irish Rambling House Show is coming their way in the near future. Monthly Ceili: West Limerick Set Dancing Club are holding a Ceili in The Devon Inn Hotel in Templeglantine this Sunday October 6th. at 4.00 p.m. Music by Star of Munster Ceili Band from Clare. Teas served as usual. Everybody welcome

First Friday: Friday is the First Friday. Adoration of the blessed sacrament will take place in Ballyhahill Church after Mass until 1.00 p.m.

Sick Calls: The usual sick calls take place this Friday 4th. October.

The Divine Mercy: There will be a film show of the Divine Mercy and St. Faustina in the Desmond Complex in Newcastle West this Wednesday night October 2nd at 8.00 p.m. Relics of St. Faustina and St. Theresa will be present. Admission Free.

Lost/Found: A small sum of money has been found in Loughill. Please contact Danny Liston the Sacristan for information.

Loughill/Ballyhahill NS: Loughill/Ballyhahill National schools will be closed this Friday 4th. October for the Referendum.

Masses: Ther is Mass in Ballyhahill Church Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings at 9 a.m. and 6.00 p.m. on Saturday evening. Mass will be celebrated in Loughill Church Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 7.30 pm and Sunday morning at 10.00 am.

Adult Sean Nos Dancing: Adult Sean nos dancing classes are being held in Ceol Corbrai Community Hall every Tuesday night at 8.00 p.m.

Glin Baby and Toddler Group: Glin baby and toddler group is open every Thursday (term time only) in Ceol Corbrai from 10.00 a.m. until 12.00. €3.00 per family. Refreshments provided for adults and children. Everyone welcome.

Garda Notice: Glin Garda station will be open from 10.00 a.m. to 11.00 a.m. Monday and Thursday mornings. Outside of these hours please contact Newcastle West Garda station on 069/20650 who are open twenty four hours.
