OOLA GATHERING: A large crowd gathered in Oola Community Centre on Saturday night for the Oola Gathering Tea Party; the funds raised were for Oola Defibiliator Group and the event was co-hosted by Oola ICA and Oola GAA. The event was a huge success as whole families gathered to celebrate Oola past and present, with Oola natives and new members of the community mixing and having a lovely time. On the night people meet new people and renewed old friendships. All in all a great community event - more details and thanks to follow in the coming weeks.

OOLA GAA NOTES: Intermediate Football Championship Oola 0-14 Gerald Griffins 0-8: This was a much more hard earned win than the scoreline suggests. Following a bright start, Oola raced into an early three point lead with points from Darragh Stapleton, Brian Fenton and Raymond Ryan. We also wasted a number of good opportunities and allowed Gerald Griffins back into the game and the sides were level at four points a piece at halftime. The second half was tit for tat with Gerald Griffins taking an eight points to seven lead with ten minutes remaining. However a late scoring blitz, with Oola scoring seven points without reply saw us running out with a flattering six points win.
