SOCIETY OF ST. VINCENT DE PAUL: The quarterly collection on behalf of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul will be held this weekend, March 9 and 10. Your support in these recessionary times will be very much appreciated.
LOCAL HEROES: A meeting of business people/service providers etc took place on Tuesday night and was very well attended. Fourteen businesses attended and are all anxious to take part in the Fiver Friday on March 15.

LENTEN STATIONS OF THE CROSS: For the Friday nights during the Lenten season it is planned to celebrate the Stations of the Cross in different areas of the parish. Starting time each night is 7.30pm.
As this is a parish event, we encourage as many as possible to attend. We also ask those in their own areas to help as much as possible on the night itself. As a reminder, we will let you know each week where the following week’s Stations will be held.
The Stations of the Cross are commencing in Clounreask and concluding in Plunkett Road this Friday night March 8.
We hope as many as possible from the parish will attend.
PARISH PILGRIMAGE: The parish are organising a pilgrimage to Medjugorje on September 14, 2013 flying from Shannon. Fare €689 inclusive. If deposit of €50 paid cost will be €639. BINGO: Bingo on Monday, March 11 at 8.30pm in the Community Hall, Askeaton. A pleasant night out and you could go home better off than you came. A chance to meet old friends and why not encourage your neighbours or friends to come along.

COLAISTE MHUIRE CASH FOR CLOBBER: Our Parents’ Association recently organised a Cash for Clobber collection. Thanks to your generosity, this was a resounding success. All clothing and textiles will be recycled locally in Ireland. Due to the success of this event, the Parents’ Association will hold another Cash for Clobber day on Tuesday, April 16 so get spring cleaning! Further details re collection times will be issued nearer the time.
COLAISTE MHUIRE’S GOT TALENT: Students are busy rehearsing for this year’s show which will take place in Colaiste Mhuire on Thursday, March 14 at 7.30pm. Tickets on sale later this week.
Coláiste Mhuire News: Best of luck to Coláiste Mhuire’s Under 14 Girls Soccer team who will compete in a second Munster final in two years next Thursday 7th March. Presentation Convent will provide the opposition and the match kicks off at one o clock in the Fairgreen (Fairview) pitch. All support appreciated. The team are pictured with trainer Mr Daly.
Coláiste Mhuire’s Got Talent: Students are busy rehearsing for this year’s show which will take place in Coláiste Mhuire on Thursday, 14th March at 8p.m. Tickets are now on sale in the school. Adult €10 Child/Student/Senior Citizen €5 U/12s must be accompanied by an Adult.
Cash for Clobber: Due to the recent success of this event, the Parents’ Association will hold another “Cash for Clobber” day on Tuesday, April 16th so get spring cleaning! All types of clothing, bags, shoes (please tie shoes together using laces), hats, belts, towels, curtains and bed linen (sheets, pillow cases and duvet covers) can be recycled. Special bags are available at Reception or you can use black bin bags. All clothing and textiles collected are recycled locally in Ireland. Bags can be dropped at the school on Monday, 15th April from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Tuesday, 16th April from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
