Recent Death: The death has occurred peacefully at St. Patrick’s Hospital, Cashel, of Nan Carroll (nee Ryan-Gar), Pallas, Donohill, and formerly of Longstone, Cullen. She is survived by her sons, daughters-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Burial took place in Annacarty cemetery.

Soccer: Both junior teams were defeated last weekend. The A Team lost a scrappy game by 2 – 1 away to Killenaule Rovers, with Barry O’Dwyer scoring for the locals. The B Team lost away to newly promoted Ballyneale. Next Sunday the A Team will travel to Glengoole for a Division One fixture.

In underage football, St David’s U.11 team will entertain Rathkeale in a Cup quarter-final at 12.30 pm on Saturday. On the same day, the U.15s are away to Kilteely in the Shield at 11 am.

GAA News:The lotto Draw was held in Pat Ryan’s on Monday February 25, when there was no winner of the €16,500 jackpot. The numbers drawn were 3, 11, 12 and 20. Lucky Dips: John Paul Kenny, Ballinagleragh, Kate Moloney, Pallasgreen, Anna Leahy, Ardavillane and John Ryan, Cullen. The next draw will be held in Dawson’s Cullen.

A Monster progressive 45 cards night will take place in Lattin on Good Friday night. More details available later.

A registration day for all juveniles will take place in Lattin on Saturday, March 9th at 10.30am.

Ladies Football: The Under 16s had their first championship match last Sunday away to Arravale Rovers. The Tipperary girls emerged victorious on a score line of 3 - 5 to 2 - 6. The team is away again in the next match. The Under 12s played Oola in a very worthwhile challenge to both sides last Sunday evening in Lattin. Thanks to Oola for travelling up to us .Well done to the girls as it was a very bitter cold evening. Training continues each Friday evening at 6.30 to 7.45. New members always welcome. Junior ladies’ training takes place on Friday evenings at 8pm sharp.
