DRAMATIC TIMES: The Castlewood Players will present a three act hilarious comedy “Too Close to Home” by Jimmy Keary on this Saturday and Sunday nights and on Tuesday and Thursday March 12 and 14 in the community hall at 8.30pm. This is an all local cast and is a very enjoyable comedy.
BEREAVEMENT MASS: A special Mass for those families who suffered a bereavement in the past year will be celebrated in St. John’s Church on Friday, March 22 at 7.30pm.
TRATH NA GCEIST AS GAEILGE: The Clare County G.A.A. Board annual Trath na gCeist as Gaeilge organised by Clare cultural officer Anne Hayes was won again by a Cratloe team of Flan O’Reilly, Mike Thorne, Damian Browne and Jim Enright. They will represent Clare with a team from O’Callaghans Mills in the Munster final of the competition on this Wednesday night in Mallow.
RECENT DEATH: Sympathy is extended to Mary Gallagher, Castlequarter on the death of her brother who died in Crossmolina, Co. Mayo last week.
PITCH IMPROVEMENT: The G.A.A. pitch will remain closed for the time being after an extensive programme of drainage and sanding has been carried out. Alternative facilities have been sourced and given the recent spell of dry weather the pitch will be reopened in a few weeks.
UNDER-21 HURLING: Cratloe will play their first competitive game for 2013 when they play Clarecastle in the under-21 hurling championship on this Saturday.
