Doon CBS Primary School: The parent’s council would like to say a big thank you to all parents who helped in any way at the cake sale last weekend. To all those who baked, bought cake & donated spot prizes-your support is very much appreciated. A total of €1,665.50 was raised. These funds will be used to buy more resources for your children at the school. Thanking you for your continued support and generosity.

Friends of Limerick ’73: would like to thank all for supporting their table quiz in Moore’s Bar, Doon on Sat. 23rd Feb. All proceeds go to Milford Hospice, MS Limerick & Lisnagry.

Doon Community Games: Congratulations to the U12 Irish Traditional Dance Group who won the County Final in Asketon last Fri. night. Representing Doon was Fiona Clifford (Lacka), Ashling Caher (Cooga), Chloe Byrne (Gurtavalla) & Sean Ryan (Monaduff). They now go forward to the All Ireland final in Athlone in May. Also to Roisin Doyle (Toomaline) who won County U10 Irish Solo Dance in Caherconlish last Sun. Night.

Volunteers Needed: Daughters of Charity Service for Persons with Intellectual Disability are looking for committed people to be friends to our service users, to engage in various social activities, to spend quality time with our service users on a one to one or group basis. We believe that everybody has something to give.
