LIMERICK GOING FOR GOLD: The Limerick ‘going for gold’ campaign aims to make Limerick a cleaner, brighter place to work, live and visit. Going for Gold encourages businesses, community groups and individuals to improve their areas by getting involved in the national Tidy Towns Competition and generally improving their areas and reducing the impact of litter across the City. Limerick City Council in association with the JP McManus Charitable Foundation is encouraging everyone to get involved. Once again a €50,000 prize fund has been confirmed for Going for Gold Competition. It is likely that there will be some changes to last year’s Going for Gold categories and these along with the possibility of additional categories will be announced at a later date.
ST MUNCHIN’S COLLEGE CLOTHES COLLECTION: Once again we are holding a used clothes collection in aid of the College. Clothes, shoes, belts, linens, household textiles, etc will be collected. Items can be dropped to the college any day between 8.30am and 4pm. The last day for collection is Monday May 27th. As always, we are very grateful for your support.
