BEREAVEMENT: Rena Madden, Limerick and late of Fanningstown, died last week. Her funeral was to Raheen cemetery. Rena is survived by her family and brother John. The Noonans, Rena, Eileen, John and Michael went to Knockea school when Jack Leahy and Mrs.Mulvey were the teachers. In Knockea school her friends included Mai Dooley, Kathleen Ryan, Annie Crehan, Rita O’ Neill, Josephine O’Neill, Laura Neill, Claire Kennedy, Kathleen O’Malley and Annie Crehan.

OPENING : Eamonn Grimes, officially opened the John Ryan GAA Park in Kilbreedy last Sunday.

BENEFIT: The young people from the parish are to benefit from a table quiz in the Stroller on May 24 at 9.30. These will be assisting in the Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes. Tables are €20 and a raffle will take place on the night.
