KILMALLOCK TRADERS ASSOCIATION AGM: The AGM of the Kilmallock Traders Association will be held on Wednesday Febuary 5 at 6pm in the Pastoral Centre.

KILMALLOCK TRADERS ASSOCIATION AGM: The AGM of the Kilmallock Traders Association will be held on Wednesday Febuary 5 at 6pm in the Pastoral Centre.

The agenda for the meeting will be as follows:

* Presentation of Accounts

* Election of Officers (Outgoing officers are not seeking re-election)

* New Economic Foundation survey of Kilmallock

* Letter from County Manager Mr Con Murray

It is important that you make every effort to attend this meeting. If you cannot attend please let Kate Hennessy or Ben O’Sullivan know.

RATHFREDAGH CHESIRE HOME 100KM CHARITY CYCLE: On Sunday last, January 26, a brave crowd braved the weather to support the fundraising cycle in aid of Rathfredagh Chesire Home which left from Deebert House Hotel at 9am. The organisers would like to extend a huge thank you to all who took part and also to those who were unable to make it but donated. Also a thank you is extended to all who made the day a safe and successful fundraising event, we are extremely grateful for all your help.

KILMALLOCK GAA: 2014 Membership - Kilmallock GAA Club Membership is now due. Please contact Membership Officer Finbar Walsh on 086 3327795. The winner of the €20,000 Lotto Jackpot, Dave Treacy, was presented with his cheque at Lynch’s Bar on Sunday January 26 last. The cheque was presented by Club Chairman Steven Connery. Congratulations again Dave.

Kilmallock GAA club, in conjunction with, Kilmallock Camogie club will host a Fashion Show at Bulgaden Castle on Friday February 21 2014 – a date for your diary. Tickets €10 each are available from committee members and at the door on the night.

Kilmallock GAA Club would like to extend deepest sympathies to the family and friends of hurling referee Shane Hourigan who was tragically killed in a road traffic accident in County Limerick.

KILMALLOCK CAMOGIE: Registration- Club Registration will take place on Saturday 1st February at 11am in the GAA complex.

Training- Fitness training will continue indoors at the complex for the U14’s and U16’s on Saturdays from 11am-12.30pm and Wednesdays from 6-7pm. Please make sure you wear runners!!

Fashion Show- Kilmallock GAA and Kilmallock Camogie Club will be holding a Fashion Show in Bulgaden Castle on Friday February 21 at 8pm. Tickets are €10 and available from committee members...we will keep you posted on more details!!

HOPE FOUNDATION TABLE QUIZ: There will be a table quiz on in Deebert house hotel Kilmallock Friday January 31. The quiz is fundraising to help 3 students from Colaiste Ioseaf to go on a journey to Calcutta with the Hope Foundation in March 2015. A Prize will be given to the winner, and spot prizes for a raffle. Everyone welcome :)

KILMALLOCK AC: Kilmallock Athletic Club is fast growing with so many people deciding to go down the healthy route these days. If you are interested in taking up running or already run then why not contact the club and join up for the support and company. The club meet at least 4 times a week and cater for all levels and abilities. Contact 086 3968431 for more details.

FRIAR’S GATE THEATRE: Little Gem – Comedy. On Friday January31 at 8pm, Take 5 Drama Group, Castlelyons present Little Gem by Elaine Murphy. Little Gem is an award winning play and was first produced by Guna Nua at Dublin’s 2008 Fringe Festival. A three-hander tragic-comedy, Little Gem consists of three female monologists telling in successive scenes their personal histories of love and loss in an alienating contemporary world. Tickets €12/€10.

Exhibition: Stone to Paper - an exhibition of sculpture and drawings by Kilmallock based artist Colm O’Brien will open on Friday February 7 @ 7.30pm. All are welcome.

KILMALLOCK PASTORAL & RESOURCE CENTRE: Citizens Information Centre is open every Thursday, Friday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday between the hours of 10am and 2pm, please note on Fridays until 1.30pm. The Citizens Information Finacial night is this tonight Thursday January 30 between 8pm and 9pm. Thursday January 30 the Bridge Club continue from 7pm until 10.30pm, all welcome. Parent and Toddler group meet on Friday January 31 between 10.30 and 12.30pm. On Monday February 3 the Counselling Service is in operation between 10am and 4.30pm. The Tuesday Club are back in operation on Tuesday February 4 from 10am to 12 noon and on Wednesday February 5 the Kilmallock Traders Association will hold their AGM between 6pm and 8pm. KILMALLOCK CODERJO: Kilmallock Coderdojo will return on Monday February 16 in Colaiste Iosaef. I look forward to seeing all the dojos then and will have some new and exciting material to show everyone.
