READERS: The reader for 6pm Mass, Saturday 1 February, is Pat Walsh. The reader for 10.30am Mass, Sunday 2 February, is Seamus Madigan.
PREPARATION: The 6pm Mass on the 1st Saturday of February, March, April and May will be for the children who will be receiving their First Holy Communion on May 17th at 10.30am. The Do this in Memory Programme in preparation for the sacrament will be celebrated at these Masses. The first confession will be on 24th March at 7.30pm.
CLOTHES COLLECTION: Cappagh Community Council is holding a clothes collection on 8 February to raise funds for the maintenance of the Hall. We are hoping to raise enough money to paint the Hall inside and out, making it brand new for 2014. Please bring your unwanted clothes to the Hall in black bags either on Friday night between 7pm and 8pm or alternatively Saturday morning from 10am to 11.30am. INTER-RELIGIOUS DIALOGUE: The Dominican Biblical Institute, Upper Cecil Street, Limerick will offer a Course on Inter-Religious Dialogue for six Tuesday evenings before Lent and for three Tuesdays after Easter. It will begin with a short overview of inter-religious dialogue in the Church to date. This will set the context for how we approach Judaism and Islam – to appreciate them as faiths in the One God and in their likeness and differences in relation to Christian faith. Dates: Feb. 4, 11, 18 and 25. April 29, May 6 and 13. Time: 7.30-9pm. Cost €5 per session. Course Director: Sr. Jo O’Donovan RSM. Her recent book, Understanding Differently, considers Judaism, Islam, Hinduism and Buddhism, and Christianity’s relationship and dialogue with them.
SUPERVISED STUDY: West Limerick Supervised study has now opened in Church Street Rathkeale, we offer Supervised Study from Monday to Friday from 6.30pm - 8.30pm @ €2.50 per session.
