Chairperson- Patrick Lynch, Minutes Secretary Kathleen Bunce, Correspondence Secretary, Joan Lynch, Treasurer, Michael Houlihan, P.R.O. Michael Brogan, Social Media Officer Johnny Mulvihill,

Committee, Ursula Leslie, Rosari O’Carroll, Eileen Farrelly, Marie Collins, Donal O’Connor, Frank Kelly ,Mary Coolahan, Mary O’Connor, Michael Fitzgerald,( Farranmillar) Joan Murphy, Alan Fitzell, Margaret Fitzell, Leo O’Connor, Jimmy Donovan. Single/Family membership was agreed at €2O for this year. Votes of sympathy were passed to the family and relatives of Eileen Langan, Tarbert Island and Joan Lavery, Church Street who died recently.

ENABLE IRELAND: Thank you to everyone who contributed to the recent Church gate collection for Enable Ireland. Amount raised €326.35.

CHURCHGATE COLLECTIONS: In the weeks coming up to Christmas three organisations took up Church Gate Collections without publicly acknowledging the amounts collected. In the interest of transparency and accountability there is a moral obligation on people to publicly acknowledge amounts collected via the Church Newsletter.

KNOCKFIERNA: Next Saturday February 1, Minister for Arts, Culture and Gaeltacht Jimmy Deenihan will visit Knockfierna at 2.30pm. Mr. Deenihan will launch a guide brochure of Knockfierna which shows famine roads, potato ridges which are still intact since the famine of 1847. All are welcome for this very unique occasion. The afternoon will be followed by entertainment at the Rambling House. All are welcome.

CANCER MEMORIAL RUN: On Sunday March16, a 5km Fun Run and 4Km Walk will take place in the village of Foynes. The walk is being organized to remember all those who have lost their lives to Cancer in the Shannon Estuary area. Following the run refreshments will be available in the Community Centre Foynes. All proceeds from the day will go to the Irish Cancer Society. If you would like your loved one remembered on the day email walsh.gra@gmail.com

ENTERTAINMENT: A spectacular one man show with Kerry Native, Mike O’Mahony who brings to life the story of Robert W. Service known as “Bard of the Yukon” on Tuesday, February 11 at 8pm sharp.. This Gold Rush era Story Play was devised by Mike O’Mahony. Vividly brought to life – Dramatically recreated in this one man, two act story – play. Contact Johnny 087 687 7308 or Mary 087 9584322.

LOTTO: There was no winner of last week’s lotto draw. The numbers drawn were; 14, 20, 21 and 26. Lucky Dips Tom Enright, Mike Griffin, Denis Flavin, Johnny Mulvihill, Joe O’Neill and Aoife Langan. Next week’s draw will take place in Swanky Bar with a jackpot of €5,150. On the night JP is also celebrating the Chinese New Year so please come along and enjoy the atmosphere. Thanks to all those who continue to support the Lotto. Coiste na nOg: The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Coiste na nOg will be held in the Community Centre on Saturday, February 8 at 8:30pm. Please support and get involved in this vibrant club.

FIXTURES: North Kerry senior league is due to commence Sunday, February 16, with a home game against Listowel. Minors are out the following Saturday, February 22 where they travel to Fossa. Membership to be paid to club Registrar – Donnacha Enright. Players €50; Student Players €25; Adults: €25; OAP’s and Unemployed: €10.
