Investigation launched after man in his 60s dies following tragic workplace accident

A man in his early 60s has died following a workplace incident in County Tipperary. The accident occurred at approximately 4:45 pm on Monday, September 29, 2025, in the Milltown area of Fethard.

The deceased, originally from Cork and residing in Cashel, was at the site when the incident took place. Emergency services attended the scene, where he was pronounced dead.

His body was transported to Waterford University Hospital for a post-mortem examination.

Both An Garda Síochána and the Health and Safety Authority (HSA) have launched separate investigations into the circumstances surrounding the fatality. A file will be prepared for the Coroner.
