The woman was brought to University Hospital Kerry following the collision but has since passed away
A woman in her 70s has died in hospital following a single-vehicle road traffic collision in County Kerry last week.
The collision occurred at approximately 1:45pm on the R557 at Ballyhorgan West, Lixnaw on Thursday, September 18. The driver was conveyed to University Hospital Kerry but has since passed away.
No other injuries were reported at the time of the incident. Gardai are appealing for any witnesses of the collision to come forward.

Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on the R557 in the area of Ballyhorgan West between 1:00pm and 2:00pm on Thursday, September 18 are being asked to make the footage available to the investigating Gardai immediately.

A Garda Spokesperson has said that investigations into the collision are ongoing.
