Lidl recalls specific batches of Red Hen four pack Tempura Chicken Steaks
Consumers are being advised not to consume specific batches of a popular chicken product sold of one of Ireland's largest supermarket chains amid health concerns.
German retailer Lidl has issued a recall notice after it was alerted to the issue with specific batches of Red Hen Tempura four pack chicken steaks due to incorrectly listed allergens.
According to a public notice, issued by the Food Safety Authority of Ireland, the batches in question have been recalled as milk has not been emphasised withing the ingredient list for the product.
Consumers are being advised the recalled batches are those with Best Before dates of: 11/12/2026, 16/12/2026, 22/12/2026 and 30/12/2026.
"Milk is not emphasised in the ingredients list of the above batches of Red Hen Tempura 4 Chicken Steaks. This may make the batches unsafe for consumers who are allergic to or intolerant of milk and therefore," reads the notice.

Consumers should not eat the implicated batches, which are being recalled from Lidl stores, effective immediately.
