Two peoples holidays were abruptly cut short on Monday evening following an impromptu checkpoint at Dublin Airport.
Members of An Garda Síochána, attached to the Santry Roads Policing Unit, decided to hold a "quick" checkpoint at the airport which resulted in some finds.

According to Gardaí, two cars were seized for being driven without insurance. In both cases, these drivers were returning home from holidays.
"The District Court is a far cry from a Pina Colada on the beach," said a spokesperson for An Garda Síochána in a social media post.
