A 14-month search for a 32-year-old Irish man who had been the subject of a missing person appeal has been stood down after he was "located safe and well", gardaí have confirmed.
Joseph Carroll - described as being 6 foot 1 inches in height, with a slim build, brown hair and brown eyes - was reported missing from his home in Clondalkin, Dublin 22, since Thursday, January 11 2024 at around 10.30pm.
It was unknown what Joseph was wearing at the time he went missing, and he was known to frequent the Dublin City Centre area.
"Gardaí would like to thank the media and the public for their assistance," a garda spokesperson said.
