WARNING: People urged not to eat popular snack following serious packaging mix-up

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) has issued a warning to consumers that a batch of Inspired by Centra Chocolate Covered Raisins were mispacked with another product, causing serious concerns for those with nut allergies. 

The product was actually mispacked with Chocolate Covered Peanuts. As there is no mentioning of the product containing peanuts on the label, the FSAI has warned that the batch is unsafe for those will such allergies.

Consumers who are allergic to or are intolerant of peanuts have been warned to not eat the implicated batches of the product.

The specific production identification is Inspired by Centra Chocolate Covered Raisins (250g). Its batch code is 5048131596A and its best-before date is November 2025.
