Five males fled the vehicle and were subsequently arrested on the roadside.

No injuries have been reported as a result of these collisions.

It was subsequently established that the vehicle had been taken a short time earlier during the course of a burglary in the Blanchardstown area.

All five, aged in their teens and early 20s, were taken to Garda Stations in the DMR West where they were detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984. Three of these males have been released and a file will be prepared for the DPP.

Two of the males remain in custody.

Investigations are ongoing.
