Dolphins Barn firefighters with their award from PETA
Firefighters from Dolphins Barn in Dublin were honoured with an award from the American animal rights group PETA on Tuesday, 25 February after successfully rescuing a cat last month.
The beloved family pet Biscuit was trapped in a burning home in Ballyfermot on Tuesday, 28 January when the heroic firefighters saved her from the blaze.

The cat was unconscious when she was discovered by the firefighters and a pet oxygen mask was placed on her.
A dog and budgie were also taken to safety from the fire and thankfully didn't require oxygen therapy.

The Dublin Fire Brigade are currently trialling pet oxygen masks on 9 fire appliances in two districts, with the hopes of more becoming available across the city.
Commenting on Dublin Fire Brigade's post, PETA said: "Thank you for saving Biscuit! Your bravery and compassion are an inspiration to us all."
