A safety risk reported to the competition and consumer protection commission has resulted in The Range, a chain of stores in the UK and Ireland that sells everyday essentials, having to recall a common household item.
The item in question is a penguin shaped cushion. A safety issue was identified as the red scarf worn by the penguin is longer than safety guidelines and can pose a risk of strangulation.
The bar code of this item is 98281923, with the batch number being 53324.

There are approximately 132 affected products in the Republic of Ireland.
