Gardaí investigating a serious assault that took place in Monaghan town have arrested three people.
The assault left a man in a critical condition in Beaumont hospital. The incident took place on Park Road, Monaghan between 10pm and 11pm on Tuesday night, January 14, 2025.
The two men and one woman, all aged in their 20s were arrested on Wednesday January 15, 2025 and are all currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at Garda stations in the county.

Gardaí continue to appeal for any witnesses to this incident to come forward.
Anyone who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) from the Park Road area between 10pm and 11pm is asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
