Tens of thousands of people expected to commute over Christmas
Irish Rail have issued their Christmas timetable ahead of surge of people using public transport over the holidays.
Iarnród Éireann has posted their Christmas Eve 24th Dec 2024 to New Year's Day 1st Jan 2025 timetable:
No trains on Christmas Day 25th & St Stephen's Day 26th
Line closed Connolly to Grand Canal Dock 27th Dec 2024 to 5th Jan 2025 inclusive for major works
Iarnród Éireann customers are being advised to check times before travel throughout the Christmas / New Year period for any alterations.

It is also "reminded that pre-booking is strongly advised on Intercity services, particularly at busiest times," according to Iarnród Éireann.
