Ten people, including two teenagers and a young child, died in the explosion, just over two years ago
A man has been arrested by gardaí investigating an explosion in Creeslough in County Donegal in 2022 in which ten people died.
It's understood the man, in his 60s, voluntarily presented himself at a garda station County Louth this morning and that he was arrested shortly before 10am.
In a statement confirming the latest development, a garda spokesperson said the man has been arrested "for alleged offences contrary to the Non-Fatal Offences Against the Person Act 1997."
The added: "This male is currently detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at a garda station in the Garda North Western Region."
Ten people, including two teenagers and a young child, died in the explosion in Creeslough, County Donegal, on October 7, 2022. Four men and three women also died in the blast.
They were Robert Garwe and his five-year-old daughter Shauna Flanagan Garwe, Catherine O'Donnell and her 13-year-old son James Monaghan, Jessica Gallagher, Martin McGill, James O'Flaherty, Martina Martin, Hugh Kelly and 14-year-old Leona Harper.

Gardaí say the investigation, which is being overseen by a Garda Senior Investigating Officer, is ongoing, with an incident room established at Milford garda station.
"The investigation continues to be led by local gardaí in the Donegal Division, supported by the Garda National Bureau of Criminal Investigation and other agencies including the Health & Safety Authority and the Commission for the Regulation of Utilities.
