Gardaí in chilling warning to parents over kids ahead of Halloween trick of treating
Gardaí have issued a serious warning to parents not to "let your Halloween turn into horror" while out trick or treating.
Gardaí issued the warning on Wednesday before Halloween on Thursday when thousands of Irish children will make their way from house to house trick of treating.
The Garda statement read: "Tomorrow evening your children and our children will be out trick or treating. They'll have wonderful costumes and be full of excitement and indeed sugar.
"Make sure before they step foot on the road that they can be seen. Small children should never trick or treat without a responsible person close by. Let's make sure they have a night to remember, not one you'll never forget," they added.

They accompanied the warning with a comparison pic showing how difficult it can be for drivers to see small children. A lot of users could miss the child standing on the right hand side of the road at first glance of the top image.
