New research has uncovered the luckiest lottery numbers to date, revealing which ones have appeared most frequently on winning tickets throughout Ireland - as well as the numbers that are not so lucky.
Since its launch in 1986, The Irish Lotto has captured the excitement of many, with draws now happening every Wednesday and Saturday.
Attracting millions to its twice-weekly draws, participants select six numbers from 1-47, along with a bonus number, hoping to win life-changing jackpots.

Coming out on top as the luckiest lottery number in Ireland is 27, appearing a huge 156 times on winning tickets throughout the country, according to the Betway research.
The second luckiest number is 42, appearing 143 times. Numbers 29 comes third (141), followed by 38 (137) and 22 (136).
The most unlucky lottery numbers in Ireland
The most unlucky lottery number in Ireland is number 36, which has been drawn only 98 times.
In second is number 33, which has appeared on winning lottery tickets 103 times. Number 26 comes in third (106), followed by 11 in forth (107) and numbers 32 and 46 (108) in joint fifth place.
