The Finance Bill as part of Budget 2025 is set to be published at 2pm today October 10, 2024.
Political correspondent Micheál Lehane believes it could take two weeks to get through due to the size of the Bill if it is anything like its predecessors as it is not the "slimmed down" version as initially thought.
Last year's Finance Bill was 270 pages long and the year before was 115 Lehane believes that if it is f this size it will will take two weeks to get through.

The Bill is due to reach committee stage in the Dáil November 5, 6 and 7 however, if a mid-November election is called, the date of the committee review would then have to come forward.
Lehane believes the dates for a committee review of this Bill reveal a strong indication of when the general elections could be called.
