Irish comedian Emma Doran has opened up about her 'shock' teenage pregnancy.

Emma was on Ireland Am to discuss her new book 'Mad, Isn’t It?,' where she discusses falling pregnant preparing to do her Leaving Cert.

Emma said: "When I found out I was pregnant, world fell apart. I did the Eastenders slide down the wall thing. People will come up to me at gigs and would tell me about similar stories or whatever. So, well it's not just me and there is safety in numbers. It is so much easier as I found out in later life to tell the truth."

Emma's daughter has now graduated from university and she says: "Isn't it mad how it all works out."
