The family of an Irish woman who died in Spain is seeking donations to help repatriate her body.
A GoFundMe was set up yesterday by the loved ones of Gina Cullinane, who tragically died in Spain yesterday morning (Tuesday July 23).
A Donoughmore Parish social media page confirmed news of her unexpected death.
The fundraiser, which was set up less than 24 hours ago on behalf of Kenneth Cullinane, has already raised over €43,000.
The description reads, "Your assistance would be greatly appreciated in raising funds to support the Cullinane family in bringing home their beloved Gina following her tragic passing in Spain this morning."
Locals offered condolences to the family of the young woman, with one Facebook user commenting, "So very sorry to hear this heartbreaking news. Condolences to Gina's family and friends."
Another commented, "Sincere condolences [sic]. We hope Gina's loved ones are surrounded by love and support during this time."
"Very sad news, such a lovely girl. God bless her and all the Cullinane family. Rip Regina," reads another.
Another mourner wrote, "Absolutely heartbroken. So so sorry to hear this horrific news. Thinking of her darling kiddies, parents and family. Rest in peace dear lovely Gina, your smile and laugh will be missed by all."
Gina's tragic passing comes just days after 11 year old Irish girl Clodagh Phelan fell to her death from a seventh floor balcony in Spain.
