'So sad' - Waterford FC tribute to friends and fans killed in horror e-scooter crash
League of Ireland outfit Waterford FC have paid tributes to the teenagers killed in an e-scooter crash in the city earlier this week.
Both Avu Idris (17) and Gilbert Collins (15) were big football fans in the city and were regulars at Waterford FC games at the RSC.
The pair died when the e-scooter they were travelling on was in collision with a bus on the Cork Road in the city at 2am on Thursday morning last, June 27.
Waterford FC posted a picture of the friends on social media with the caption: "Everyone at Waterford FC would like to pass on our condolences to the families and friends of Avu Idris and Gilbert Collins on their tragic passing on Thursday morning.
"Both were avid supporters of Waterford FC - regularly spotted in the RSC every Friday, and will be sorely missed by all.
Ar dheis de go raibh a anam."
