WATCH: Gardaí practice riot control as almost 50,000 Europa League fans arrive in Dublin

An Garda Síochána has released a video showing officers undergoing stadium tactics training ahead of today's (May 22) Europa League final.

The 35 second video clip was posted on the official Garda Facebook page, with the caption, "Our Public Order Units are trained to the highest standards in numerous tactics to enable them to deploy in different situations and locations around the country."

A large scale Garda policing and traffic management plan will be in place for the duration of today's match between Atalanta v Leverkusen at the Aviva Stadium.

Uniformed Gardaí will be deployed in Dublin for the event along with specialist units including the Air Support Unit, Mounted Unit, Armed Support Unit and more.

The expected attendance is in excess of 46,000 people, with the final kicking off at 8pm and the stiles opening at 5pm.

Large volumes of traffic can be expected in the city centre and in the general Dublin 4 area throughout the day, culminating in a gradual build-up in the vicinity of the Stadium in the run up to the event and an immediate build-up of traffic post event.
