Disqualified driver who was 'trying to dodge' gardaí arrested and car seized

A disqualified driver who was "trying to dodge" gardaí has been arrested and their car seized over the weekend.

Using the mobility device, gardaí in Cork City were alerted to the Opel car as it had no insurance and the driver was disqualified from driving.

"Cork City Gardaí on patrol observed this car seemingly trying to avoid a marked patrol car," gardaí stated in a post on X.

"Once stopped, our mobility device showed why the driver was trying to dodge us as they had no insurance & were disqualified from driving.

"The driver was arrested & the car was seized."
