That's according to Iarnród Éireann, which today (April 2) confirmed an incident of vandalism has resulted in services in Dublin, Sligo, Kildare and Louth operating with reduced capacity.

The affected services include the 4pm Connolly to Sligo, 4.21pm Pearse to Drogheda, 5.30pm Drogheda to Pearse, 6.34pm Pearse to Maynooth, 7.45pm Maynooth to Pearse, and 8.50pm Pearse to Drogheda, all on Tuesday April 2.

The 9.05am Sligo to Connolly route on Wednesday April 3 is also affected.

No information regarding the nature of the vandalism is currently available.

Irish Rail has been contacted for comment.
