Gardaí investigating the discovery of €4 million worth of cocaine along the Donegal coastline have expanded their investigation to Louth.

A number of packages of cocaine weighing approximately 60kg were found along the North Donegal coastline on July 19 last year.

This morning (March 28), Donegal Gardaí carried out searches at a number of locations in Dundalk with the assistance of Louth Gardaí.

Items "of potential evidential value to the investigation" were seized, including electronic devices and documents.

No arrests have been made at this time and investigations are ongoing.
