Footage of the day Cillian Murphy and his kids met Virgil van Dijk in Anfield has resurfaced, after the Corkman won the Best Actor Oscar for his role in Oppenheimer over the weekend.
The Peaky Blinders star can be seen walking behind Virgil van Dijk and telling his kids to stop for a photograph in Anfield.
Amid the excitement of walking down the tunnel and onto the Anfield pitch in van Dijk's company one of the kids declares "we should be in school".
And while appearing on the Overlap show with Gary Neville, the Dutch centre back, who was imperious against Manchester City at the weekend, replied: "Cillian Murphy - Peaky Blinders," when questioned by Neville as to who is his most famous contact in his phone.
"You have Cillian Murphy's?" a stunned Neville replies.
The former Manchester Utd defender recalled how the Cork man turned him down for a picture saying "I don't do those sort of things".

The meeting in Anfield happened while Peaky Blinders was one of the most compelling and successful TV dramas on Irish and UK television.
However, it was before Murphy won the Best Actor Oscar gong, in addition to a Golden Globe and Bafta award. The contact in van Dijk's phone may have gone up another notch or two in the fame stakes.
